5 YEARS AND COUNTING....

This month makes 5 years that Wallace has been servicing your potties, whether indoor or out!

I thought I might share a little progress report with you guys.

Unfortunately, we may soon be the ONLY toilet provider based in St. Mary Parish.

Growth and evoloution is a necessary thing for the health of our Parish.

Leland and I established our LLC in March of 2014. We started with one homemade pump truck and 10 used potties.

To date we have 112 Toilets, 10 Hand Wash units, and 5 Holding Tanks in our fleet.

As of 2018, Toilet Rentals consists of 66% of our income. That's a huge increase from the 18%

in 2014.

To aid in this influx of toilet rentals, Leland built a toilet trailer which allows us to haul

up to 8 toilets and 8 handwash units in one trip! Leland is currently building a second pump truck. This truck

will help to prevent down time due to truck repairs. It will also serve as a second

service truck during large events and when the time comes to add another operator to our team.

We are looking for property so we may finally move our office out of our home in Morgan City. Being able

to have the office and toilet storage on the same property has been just a dream!

Due to issues with finding and keeping a local waste disposal location, we are researching

our options regarding treatment facilities of our own. Currently we are transporting waste out

of St. Mary. This helps the Parish zero, and adds costs for us. In order to ensure the longevity of our

rates and business, local disposal/treatment options are paramount.

It is because of our fabulously loyal customers that we have experienced such growth

these last 5 years. Leland and I appreciate all of you very much!

Our time in Lawrence Park has ended!

Wallace has been renting a temporary space at 315 Freret St. for around a year now. We thought the location would raise awareness of our little company, and it really has! The building currently has no restroom and is designed for temporary rentals, and lacks the storage/yard space that we need to expand.

As of December we will be operating out of our home at 1005 Sixth St. again..a whole 3 blocks away! HA. In this economy, thriftiness is a must! Fortunately for us, we don't HAVE to have a store front. We don't have foot traffic, but more storage is a must. We will be saving towards purchasing a local property that can house our office, truck, and toilets.

We've definately enjoyed our time in Lawrence Park.  Everyone has been so accepting of us!

We will be back for Shrimp Fest 2018. I will have have an art booth for Inherent Chaos, and we will be respresenting Wallace as well.

THANK YOU! to all our wonderful customers who choose Wallace day after day.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE OUR CORRECT PHONE AND ADDRESS IN YOUR RECORDS!!

THE OLD RESIDENTIAL LINE WILL BE TAKEN DOWN THIS MONTH!

The IT Challenge

The IT Challenge

This is the challenge to keep the I.T. guy or gal in mind when doing your janitorial.

Most people could care less if there are dead bugs and dirt under their desk amongst all their computer wires.

Im sure the I.T. person cares. They have to wallow in your dirt and dead bugs to get the computer brain which is

usually under your desk. Any office equipment on wheels is gently rolled out and vacuumed underneath.

I have one customer I have lovingly nicknamed "Beetlejuice" because I think i've seen every dead bug that exists in their office.

So If you see me wandering around your office with my flashlight app on, or crawling under your desk...this is what i'm doing!

Say No-No to office pests!

Things you should never do if you want a clean-pest free office!

No i'm not talking about co-workers, you're stuck with them. I'm talking about the creepy crawly kind.

Some folks get so grossed out at the fact that I clean toilets for a living. I tell them I love it because toilets don't talk back! HA

But really folks, the toilet bowl is the least of your worries. Your desktop is much worse. One of the reasons for that is due to pest visitors!

DO NOT EAT AT YOUR DESK.  I can't tell you how many times i've discovered rodent or insect droppings on a desktop, on a keyboard, on top your paperwork. Those crumbs drop inside your keyboard and make a good snack for critters. Blow your keyboard out regularly with compressed air.

DON'T THROW FOOD, DRINK, OR DIP CONTAINERS IN YOUR OFFICE TRASH. Bring these items to the kitchen, rinse them, then throw.

DON'T LEAVE CUPS OUT WITH DRINK STILL INSIDE. When you're done drinking, rinse your cup out.

DON'T LEAVE CREAM AND SUGAR OPEN. If you leave your cream and sugar containers open, don't be surprised if you find ants or a visitor inside the container one day! And you have no idea what crawls on the top looking for morsels. ARE YOU GROSSED OUT YET?

DON'T LEAVE CLEAN DISHES OUT. I have seen droppings in clean dish drainers. If you put away clean dishes regularly they will stay clean. If you don't have upper cabinet storage, get a tupperware container with a lid and store below the sink. You could even store them in the refrigerator if you what them absolutely clean and you don't mind cold dishes.

SPRAY REGULARLY. If your facility doesn't have a pesticide service you can buy your own private stash of it and spray your office entrance and around the walls. Just make sure you do it after your janitorial crew has mopped for the week. Don't forget the corners of the room if your office is prone to spiders.

NO CELLULOSE SPONGES. How many offices i've seen with black, slimy kitchen sponges. This attracts gnats and pests you want to eat food morsels left on the sponge. If you have to use a sponge, don't buy cellulose. Thats the kind with the big holes. Go to the dollar store and pay 1.00 for 6-10 foam type sponges. These dry more completely and won't sour unless you leave them swimming in water.

Follow these tips and I promise you'll see less and less of creepy crawlers.
